As a Fleet Coffee Store Manager your responsibilities consist of management of inventory and organization, as well as communication with vendors. You will work closely with staff to maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the shop, and manage scheduling, payroll, and be involved in performance reviews. Store Managers lead by example to ensure the highest quality of customer service and beverages served.
Below are tasks that the Store Manager is responsible for, these tasks are organized based on frequency of execution to regulate action and promote business success.
Weekly:
- Keep staff schedule published for 2 weeks in advance
- Keep inventory organized and stocked
- Place inventory before the vendor deadline
- Source items from Ace Mart, HEB, etc. when needed
- Communicate with vendors when order mistakes occur
- Ensure the shop and outdoor area are clean
Monthly:
- Audit payroll twice monthly
- Prepare the monthly drawer count sheets
- Clean ice maker
- Attend manager meetings every other week
As Needed - Operations and Quality Management Support:
- Conduct performance reviews and work with Director of Operations to ensure performance management is being completed in a correct and timely manner based on company policy
- Assist with training new hires after the initial trainings are completed by Director of Operations
- Maintain integrity of beverages, vendor food items, customer service, and cleanliness
- Work to mitigate issues that may arise in the shop
- Keep constant line of communication between staff and upper management
- Declutter inside the shop
- Provide shift support on unexpectedly busy days
- Provide shift coverage if staff calls in sick
- Hold staff accountable for their completion of tasks
Qualifications
- Food service management
- POS experience (Square POS)
- Supervisory experience in hospitality or food service
- Strong customer service skills
- Inventory management expertise
- Team management and leadership skills
- Barista or coffee experience
- Ability to handle food preparation and cooking tasks
This role is an hourly role that is divided between working on the floor and performing management duties. Ideally, you are working as a barista/cashier on the floor for 3 to 4 days/week at $14 -$17/hr + Tips (Tips are consistently around $10-$12/hr). While performing management duties, you will be paid an hourly rate of $24-26, without tips. After management duties are learned, typically manager hours do not exceed a weekly amount of around 10 hours. Pay is disbursed on a biweekly schedule in the middle of the month and end of the month. Fleet Coffee also offers employee discounts and a paid time off policy for full time hourly employees. Raises are given at the administrators discretion based on the results of an annual performance evaluation. No stock options or healthcare is offered at this time.
