Oil States is currently looking for qualified candidates for the position of Maintenance II for our Tulsa, Oklahoma location in our organization, the Maintenance II has a critical and challenging role in helping achieve innovation and meeting our commitments.
POSITION SUMMARY:
To maintain or repair equipment and facilities including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic machinery to keep production running. Perform preventative maintenance. Assist Level III Maintenance when needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose basic problems of inoperative equipment or faulty conditions.
- Repair or recommend repair of equipment with faulty properties.
- Read basic blueprints and equipment manuals.
- Perform preventative maintenance as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Perform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITEIS:

- Attention to detail and accuracy
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Two (2) years general maintenance experience. Extensive experience preferred.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills required
- Understanding of basic shop mathematics to prepare/analyze figures
- Understanding of basic processes of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, construction, remodel, fabrication and electrical theory
- Provide standard hand tools used in performance of job function
- Be capable of building repair and maintenance including basic electrical service
- Be capable of repair and maintenance of production equipment
- Experience with forklifts, welders, various hand tools, meters, plasma, torch and grinders
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Heavy physical effort such as lifting, bending, carrying, etc. may be required
- Prolonged standing/walking/bending/twisting, crouching, crawling, balancing and squatting
- Pushing/Pulling forces up to/over 40 pounds
- Occasional sitting/keyboard work
- Repetitive motion of finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder or neck movement
- Occasional forceful hand grasp
- Use of fingertips for pinching or retrieving small objects
- Occasional awkward postures of neck, shoulder, wrist, elbow or fingers
- Work in confined spaces or close quarters
- Lifting or carrying up to 100 pounds
- Lifting from floor to waist/waist to shoulder/shoulder to overhead
- Reaching above/below shoulder level occasionally while holding objects
- Climbing ladders/scaffolds/step stools/ramps/stairs/unguarded heights
- Seeing to visually inspect, measure/assemble at close distance
- Able to distinguish colors
- Frequent use of motor vehicles, forklifts, power tools, slicing/cutting equipment, machinery and machinery that produces excessive heat.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Exposure to dangerous machinery and high voltage
- Exposure to extreme weather conditions
- Extreme cold/heat for more than an hour
- Occasional potential of physical harm
- Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals/fumes/gases/smoke/dust/wet and damp
- Occasional exposure to extreme heights
- Exposure to high noise level, dark environments with dim lighting and bright environments or lighting
