Position Title:
Assistant General Manager (AGM)Reports to: General Manager
Average of 50 to 55 Hours per work week are required

Position summary:
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for all aspects of restaurant operations and management, including entertainment, food, beverage, equipment, financial, and facilities. The Assistant General Manager manages and leads team members in providing the highest possible level of customer service.
The Assistant General Manager is also responsible for working with the General Manager and Director of Operations to establish financial goals, financial systems, and organizational policies to ensure financial stability and the achievement of organizational objectives.
Tasks:
- Team management and development including recruiting, hiring, training, and scheduling staff.
- Develop staff skills through training, coaching, and leadership to ensure individual strengths are maximized to benefit the organization and ensure the highest possible level of customer satisfaction.
- Manage Human Resources processes and ensure organizational compliance with applicable occupational, health and safety regulations and laws.
- Ensure all alcoholic beverage services are in strict compliance with all legal requirements and all servers and staff are properly trained.
- Promote positive employee relations by effectively delegating duties, fostering high staff morale by creating a positive and supportive work environment, and encouraging and modeling effective collaboration.
- Manage loss prevention and risk management for the organization, including managing all applicable insurance policies.
- Review financial reports with owners and develop and implement plans to increase revenue and control expenses to meet organizational financial goals.
- Work with General Manager and Director of Operations to develop and implement plans to increase revenue and control expenses to meet organizational financial goals.
- Develop, implement and continuously monitor customer service policies and practices to ensure the organization is meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
- Develop and manage vendor relationships and ensure vendors deliver the quality of services and products that ensure the organizations' high-quality standards are maintained.
- Develop and manage effective public relations, marketing, and advertising programs to effectively promote the organization and increase revenues by increasing sales.
- Ensure the facility is properly maintained and improved cost-effectively to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for staff and customers.
- Manage all aspects of the Restaurant Operations. Responsible for the management of staff to ensure the highest possible level of customer service, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Manage all aspects of marketing and promotions to increase community awareness and revenue generation.
- Manage all aspects of the restaurant in a manner that ensures the organizations' reputation for excellence is maintained.
- Manage facilities are maintained and managed following company standards.
Skills:
- The Assistant General Manager must demonstrate customer service and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse groups of customers, vendors, and employees
- The Assistant General Manager must have leadership, management, and communications experience and skills to facilitate the development of an effective and productive team.
- The Assistant General Manager must have fundamental business management experience which includes industry knowledge, financial management, and organizational development practices.
- The Assistant General Manager must have facilities management experience to include food services, entertainment, recreational, retail, plant, and equipment.
- The Assistant General Manager must possess knowledge of the legal and regulatory requirements sufficient to ensure the organization maintains full compliance.
Experience And Education:
The skills and abilities are normally obtained through the receipt of a High School Diploma and a minimum of 5 years of management experience in a challenging recreational, entertainment, retail, hospitality, or food services organization. Relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
