High Level Statement of the Role
The Associate Quality Engineer is an entry level for a QE role and is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to continuously improve the quality results including: driving corrective action activities, quality reporting and pursuing continuous improvement. Improvements must be quantifiable in terms agreed to by with leadership. For example:
- FQA & IPI Results
- Meeting of IPC Standards
- OPEX Metrics
- WIP reductions
- New Product Deployments
High Level Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist QE & SQE in issue resolution and carrying out of actions.
- Involved in Code One review and resolution
- Aid in Customer CAPA completion
- Help QE in PFMEA, Control Plan, IQ, OQ, PQ documentation.
- Assist with Six Sigma GB and BB teams
- Assist with quality plans for new product introduction
- Provide Customer interface, primarily on mature products.
- Provide approval for work setup First Articles
- Provide IPC technical support to Eng. Operations & Inspectors(FQA & IPI)
- Conduct Internal QMS Audits
- Conduct Layered Process Audits
- Conduct 5S Audits
- Complete daily / monthly internal quality tracking data
- Involvement with QIP Process Improvements
- Complete Lean and Six Sigma Projects (Target minimum of 2 projects per year)
- Other duties assigned
