Job Title: MRI Engineer
Location: UCSF Parnassus Campus
Employment Type: 6-month contract

Job Description:
My Client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated MRI Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of MRI equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on MRI systems.
- Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, including coils and tables.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve and update MRI systems.
- Provide technical support and training to medical staff and clients.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities and equipment performance.
- Conduct inventory validation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Report to the Parnassus location but be expected to travel to the other 7 locations (viable transportation is available).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with MRI equipment.
- Strong technical knowledge of MRI systems and components.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specific MRI systems (e.g., Siemens, GE, Philips). The client is a GE shop.
- Certification in MRI technology.
- Knowledge of DICOM and PACS systems.
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment.
- Expertise in ultrasound and CT (preferred but not required).
Work Schedule:
- Open shift: 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: From $85.00 per hour
