Overview
Quorum Software is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead a team of Sales and Business Development Representatives (SDRs / BDRs) while also driving individual business development and sales efforts. This role requires a strategic thinker who can mentor, motivate, and guide a team of SDRs and BDRs to achieve and exceed sales targets. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of the energy industry, and a proven track record in business development and sales.
Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of Sales and Business Development Representatives (SDRs / BDRs) to identify and create qualified sales opportunities.

Develop and execute strategic plans to maximize outbound prospecting efforts and inbound lead nurturing.

Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to new team members to enhance their skills and performance.

Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to develop and implement effective outbound campaigns and lead generation strategies.

Analyze market data and trends to identify new opportunities and areas for growth within the energy industry.

Work closely with Sales to define key accounts/personas, generate interest, and drive opportunities.

Ensure the team consistently achieves qualified sales opportunity quotas to meet territory revenue objectives.

Manage and maintain CRM systems with accurate contact, account, and activity information.

Represent Quorum Software at industry events, conferences, and other networking opportunities.

Lead by example by actively engaging in business development and sales activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, accounting, business, engineering, or related field.

3-5 years of experience in outbound business development, software sales, or energy industry consulting.

Proven leadership experience, preferably in managing a team of sales professionals.

Understanding of energy industry workflows, business concepts, and market dynamics.

Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems; familiarity with Drift, Outreach or ZoomInfo is a plus.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Fearless attitude towards prospecting and engaging with potential clients.

Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
