JOB SUMMARY:
Manages the implementation and administration of information systems and equipment in accordance with organizational policies and goals. Administers internal procedures and guidelines to diagnose and resolve technical issues across different systems and technologies, including hardware, software, and networks. Oversees the analysis of business needs and selects IT hardware and software products to support internal business processes. Develops detailed documentation of methodologies, processes, and specifications of an organization's IT systems and assists with the planning of the organization's IT roadmap. Manages the IT strategy and roadmap to ensure computer equipment, hardware, and software operate in alignment with organizational needs and standards. Plans and implements an organization's network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks and monitors network performance. Allocates resources and oversees departmental budget to support and manage IT projects through the entire lifecycle.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Evaluate business needs, objectives, and goals by researching available products and designating procedures to best meet those needs.
· Maintain awareness of changing trends and regulations and act as required.
· Develop implementation plans for new projects by coordinating process with project leader.
· Provide well-defined plans including procedures, deadlines, and accountability.
· Develop an annual budget by providing justification when needed.
· Review and compare actual results to planned budgetary performance, preparing reports reflecting those results.
· Develop configuration and performance standards; implement and monitor controls to ensure such maintenance; develop and maintain a Disaster Recovery Plan.
· Review periodically department procedures, staffing, and equipment for maximum efficiency while controlling costs.
· Develop and implement training programs to support end-users to enhance their understanding and ensure they are up-to-date with latest technologies and best practices.
· Make purchasing decisions based on bid pricing provided by monitoring accurate records maintenance.
· Coach and direct staff in operational activities to ensure compliance with departmental goals, objectives, and budget; conduct team meetings in accordance with overall strategy.
· Direct the department's personnel administration activities including job assignment, training, performance evaluation, and compensation review.
· Ensure technology utilization providing a fast, accurate, and secure method to access information in a highly efficient and effective manner; ensure service support in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
· Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
· Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
· Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
· Coordinates multisite IT systems via enterprise resource planning (ERP).
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field OR equivalent IT experience
· Five years’ experience in network support, personal computer technical support, and server administration
· Three years' management experience with supervising people
· Ability to occasionally travel to company supported locations (appx 1x per month)
· Extensive experience in Local and Wide Area Networks
· Extensive experience with personal computers and software applications
· Must have a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
· Satisfactory background check
Preferred Qualifications:
One or more of the following or related certifications:
· ITIL Certification
· Microsoft Certifications such as Windows 10, Mobility and Devices Fundamentals
· Microsoft 365 Certified Desktop Administrator
· Cisco CCNA
· A+ from CompTIA
· Network + from CompTIA
· Certified Network Engineer (CNE)
