Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Receivables (A/R) for given insurance(s), file appeals and follow denials from these payors per policies and procedures
- Answering patient phone calls that come to the Billing Hunt Group
- Work cooperatively with other departments to answer questions related to Billing
- Take patient payments and process as per policies and procedures
- Sends out electronic claims for given insurances(s)
- Create a positive working relationship among the physicians and KUS staff; demonstrate respect; proactively communicate with others
- Handles all patient interactions politely and professionally
- Maintain confidentiality and observe all HIPAA rules governing patient confidentiality
- Cross train in other departments as needed/directed

Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
· Minimum one year previous Billing experience in the Medical practice
· Minimum one year Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience
· Medent experience preferred but not mandatory
Performance Requirements:
· Knowledge of billing practices, claims processing, and appeals
· Knowledge of basic coding and third-party payors operating procedures. Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Knowledge of confidentiality requirements related to patient information.

Pay: $19.50 per hour
