Affordable at Home Care in Tigard is seeking a full time person to join their team for the position of Scheduling Cordinator. This selected candidate must have a mindset of professionalism, growth, customer service and have compassion for others.
A@HC provides in home assistance and personal care to a wide variety of older adults in and around the Tigard / Portland and surrounding areas.
The Scheduling Cordinators main responsibility is to schedule care between clients and caregiving staff. The person chosen must be able to problem solve and have a can do attitude while providing a supportive, encouraging demeanor.
This position comes with responding to constant changes in the schedule. Often times, those changes are time sensitive and will need to be dealt with immediatly. Because of this, prioritizing work tasks is a must. You will need to be able to handle these changes in a professional manner. Thorough communication between clients and carestaff is crucial.
A professional office attire, positive attitude and the ability to communicate with co- workers is a must. Their mindset must be: how can we make this work instead of, no we can't. The Scheduling Cordinator will need to ask detailed questions, listen and show empathy. Daily collaboration with other office staff is essential.
Basic computer skills and phone etiquette are a must. The Scheduling Cordinator will be using a CRM (Client Relationship Manager) to manage tasks, shifts, availability and day to day activities as well as transferring critical, detailed notes about clients and care staff. The phone is their friend.
The Scheduling Cordinator needs to be OK working with others who may have opposing views and beliefs. A basic understanding of health care and it’s acronyms is a huge plus. Attention to detail, multi tasking and strong written/oral skills is required.
Normal work hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday thru Friday. Eventually, after he/she has settled into their role, they will be trained and placed into an on call rotation witin the office staff.
The success of the Scheduling Cordinator hinges largely upon the candidate being the right fit. Personality, professionalism and affective communication will be significant traits weighed heavily in choosing the correct person.
