Job Description: The Association of Clinicians for the Underserved (ACU) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior HR Professional to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in developing and implementing human resources strategies and initiatives that support our mission and contribute to the success of our organization, as well as carrying out day to day HR activities. The ideal HR candidate will have combined expertise in HR practices with strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. They should also be passionate about supporting employees and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the organization's overall mission, goals, and values.
- Talent Acquisition and Management: Lead recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent, including developing job descriptions, conducting interviews, and overseeing the onboarding process. Implement effective strategies for talent retention and professional development.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted resource for employees, providing guidance and support on HR-related issues and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
- Performance Management: Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and professional development planning. Provide coaching and support to managers and employees to enhance performance and promote growth.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations. Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures and provide guidance to management and staff on legal and regulatory requirements.
- HR Administration: Oversee HR administration tasks, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and record-keeping. Implement and maintain systems to streamline processes and ensure data accuracy.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Lead efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization, including developing and implementing initiatives to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with leadership and staff across the organization to support HR needs and initiatives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and transparency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; May be substituted with work experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in human resources, with a focus on strategic HR planning and talent management.
- Experience working in the non-profit sector preferable
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with employees at all levels.
- Proven ability to think strategically and creatively to solve complex HR issues and drive organizational success.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
