Summary:
General responsibility for the installation, 24/7, day-to-day operation, maintenance, and modification of all Vytalogy site systems. This position is also responsible for repairs, troubleshooting, corrective (repair/unplanned/modification) and preventative (planned) maintenance of associated systems and equipment. The technician must be able to work both independently and as a team member. Considerable independent judgment and initiative is required to solve challenging or complex issues. Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
Your primary activities will include but are not limited to:
- Assist to resolve day-to-day problems of the production lines and ensures equipment and machinery compliance with production procedures and process specifications
- Repairs and maintains production equipment, machinery, or instruments to ensure that it functions reliably and complies with process specifications.
- Responds to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions etc. to minimize disruptions to manufacturing processes.
- Manage and optimize Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Programs including systematically defining, developing, monitoring, and refining the preventive/predictive maintenance process in pursuit of optimization.
- Maintains maintenance records (CMMS) so that recurring problems can be identified and addressed.
- Develop and implement changes to equipment maintenance plans based on failure modes, historical data, reliability principles and best practices with the oversight and approval of Supervisor.
- Help develop short and long-term continuous improvement plans to mitigate equipment failures.
- Help Design maintenance SOPs, to enable employees to perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
- Repairs/maintenance of walls, floors, ceiling components, doors, and other fixtures within facility
- Paints and touches up paint, as needed, throughout the building
- Inspects exterior building and roof, doing minor repairs
- Properly installs signs, sign holders and dispensers and maintains such items
- Inspects, on a weekly basis, and periodically replaces all dust filters in the air handling units that service the entire cleanroom
- Inspects building equipment such as fire extinguishers, ladders, forklifts, and notifies supervisor of any recommendations or concerns
- Services dehumidifiers
- Responds to repair requests in a timely manner and completes damage reports as observed during maintenance and daily activities
- Makes timely recommendations for facilities upgrades, modifications, and repairs not within the scope of the above listed items or not within the scope of the individual’s capabilities
- Monitors support equipment (air compressors, dust collectors, etc) to ensure proper operation and calibration
- Complete assigned work orders requested by different departments
- Provide all kind of support to equipment maintenance as and when required
- Maintains safe work environment and follows safety policy and procedures to accomplish daily task, maintain cGMP inside plant
- Use appropriate PPE as required for each particular task; be safety conscious for themselves and people around them.
You’ll need the following (minimum qualifications):
- High School education: HS Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
- Minimum 3 years of Manufacturing Maintenance experience. This can be in lieu of a high school education.
- 3 years of equipment reliability experience (preferred)
- Experience in a building maintenance/construction environment (highly preferred)
A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly range for this position is $28.00 to $34.00. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
