The job is for Sheet Metal Workers Local 214. A labor union based in Baton Rouge. We are looking for experienced sheet metal welders and fabricators. The job will involve ,but not limited to, welding, using a press brake, using a sheer, and using a roller.
What we are expecting:
- Mig and Tig welding -carbon steel, stainless. 1/8 to 3/8 thickness.
- Operating shop equipment such as press brake, shear, and a roller.
Those who can't won't make journeyperson wage. But may be able to be hired at a lower rate.
---Must be able to pass a 30 day drug test. Wage is 30.38/hr on the check. Benefits are included and will be explained during the interview.
Qualifications:
You must be able to pass a background check, have a High School Diploma or equivalent (if neither, this can be discussed), have a reliable method of transportation, be able bodied, have good communication skills.
