Job Title: Assistant Textile Designer
Overview: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Apparel Textile Assistant Designer to join our dynamic design team. The ideal candidate will develop textile designs, technical sketches, and color fills on line sheets for our apparel line. This role requires a keen eye for trends, strong technical skills, and a passion for fashion and artwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Textile Design: Collaborate with the design team to create new innovative prints and embroidery patterns that align with brand aesthetics and target market.
- Research and Trend Analysis: Stay updated on current fashion trends, textile techniques, and color forecasts. Conduct research to gather inspiration for new textile designs by season.
- Design Development: Support the design process from concept to completion, including sketching, digital rendering, and creating technical drawings for production.
- Color and Print Development: Participate in development of prints, patterns and embroidery. Ensure color consistency and accuracy throughout the design process.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Merchandising, Sales, and production to ensure alignment on design direction and product development timelines.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or related field.
· Previous experience in apparel textile design or related roles preferred.
· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and other design software.
· Strong understanding of textile techniques, fabric properties, and manufacturing processes.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
· Attention to detail and a passion for creativity and innovation in textile design.
