We are looking for experienced Psychiatric APRNS to care for our adult patients in a long term psychiatric setting. This facility serves forensic and civil patients. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best psychiatric care with little supervision. You will be compassionate and cool-tempered. You will be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to promote patient’s well-being by providing high quality nursing care. Must have 2 years of experience in a psychiatric setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat adults, experiencing symptoms of a behavioral health disorders. Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders in accordance with the Collaborative Practice Agreement and the state's Nurse Practice Act.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Psychiatric APRN
- Excellent knowledge of care methods and procedures
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and compassionate
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
- Valid Psychiatric APRN license in Florida
