POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Systems Administration Manager, the Systems Administrator II will be responsible for the daily operation and administration of a data center in a hybrid Microsoft Windows Active Directory / Microsoft Office 365 environment. The Systems Administrator II will be a key support partner and must have strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. This position requires hands-on experience with supporting users with application and network connectivity issues. The Systems Administrator II must have a solid understanding of all networking and operating system concepts, excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose programs, evaluate and resolve complex problem situations, or when appropriate, escalate or route them to appropriate IT team members. This position may require independent work, sharing information and assisting others with work orders.
REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Troubleshoots and maintains Windows Servers in a physical and virtual environment.
· Maintains a strong knowledge of basic network fundamentals.
· Documents processes of all projects to ensure future review and understanding.
· Collaborates with the broader team to brainstorm and create new systems.
· Stays educated on the leading edge of administration and support practices.
· Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art administration tools, techniques, and computing equipment, participates in educational opportunities, reads professional publications, maintains personal networks, and participates in professional organizations.
· Monitors and maintains systems for stability and security.
· Works with the Systems Administration Manager with various projects including server architecture and some network infrastructure.
· Maintain Azure resources and other cloud technologies.
· Deploy Azure resources and other cloud technologies, including Office 365, PAAS, IAAS, SAAS, Power BI, Entra SSO, etc.
· Experience with Azure Active Directory, Conditional Access Policies, and third-party single sign-on technologies.
· Experience with Azure Landing Pages, Blueprints, RBAC, and PowerShell scripting.

· Knowledge of local area and wide area networks and end-user support.
· Basic understanding of common networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, web/email servers, wireless networks, telephone systems, etc.), and general PC maintenance knowledge.
· Efficient with Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, and Apple iOS.
· Ability to problem solve in a constantly changing environment.
· Initiative to continually improve process and systems.
· PowerShell scripting experience.
· Azure Administration experience.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or its equivalent required.
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Technical School, preferred.
· 5+ years of PC Hardware and software experience.
· 5+ years working in an IT environment utilizing Microsoft server technologies.
· 5+ years of virtualization experience.
· Provide exceptional customer service in person, via phone and email as appropriate.
· Resolve help desk issues including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
