We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Progressive Care Unit Nurse to join our dynamic team. The Progressive Care Unit Nurse specializes in the care of patients who require close monitoring and advanced medical treatment as they transition from the Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute care nursing and possess strong critical thinking and communication skills. As a PCU Nurse, you will provide specialized care to patients with complex medical conditions, ensuring their continuous monitoring and recovery.
- Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall condition using advanced monitoring equipment, recognizing and responding to changes in patients' status.
- Assessment and Care Planning: Perform thorough assessments of patients' physical and psychosocial status, developing and implementing individualized care plans to address specific needs and goals.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications, including intravenous (IV) therapies, according to physician orders, and monitor patients for therapeutic responses and potential adverse reactions.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare team members to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies, initiating life-saving measures such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and other critical interventions as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, medications, and responses to treatment in electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- Minimum 2 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required depending on the setting.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently in a high-stress environment.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $2,077.00 - $2,246.00 per week
