Tool-Smith is hiring a full-time Inside Sales Representative in our Mobile, AL office. Since 1979, Tool-Smith, Inc. has been serving industrial and manufacturing businesses through the distribution of supplies and services. With locations in Birmingham, Nashville & Mobile we serve our customers in the states of Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, and the panhandle of Florida. Summary:
Assists customers with quotes and orders via email, phone, fax and in person. Provide information regarding products and services. Accomplishes tasks by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Communicates with customers by email, phone, fax or in person. Receives requests for quotes and orders.
· Works with and supports outside sales representatives to fulfill customer requests in a timely manner. Pass information between outside sales representatives, customers, and vendors timely and accurately.
· Research products and services requested, including specification of product, sourcing vendor and availability of product.
· Resolves complaints concerning billing, services and product rendered; referring complaints requiring others assistance to designated departments for investigation.
· Makes outbound lead follow up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
· Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
· Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
· Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
· Builds and maintains customers relationships. Investigates and resolves customer problems, such as deliveries.
Qualifications:
· Associate degree (A. A.) preferred
· One to two year related experience and/or training preferred
· Experience selling into the target markets would be a plus
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as requests for quotes, purchase orders, technical drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Knowledge of Word Processing software, Microsoft office, Outlook and Enterprise Resource software (PRELUDE)
