The Position:
The Advisory Billing Associate is a key resource for the Advisory Billing Team and will be
responsible for all aspects of client billing, including and not limited to client billing setups,
processing periodic advisory fees, reviewing and reconciling fees to ensure accuracy,
monitoring and managing billing exceptions, providing excellent client service, escalating billing issues. This position must collaborate effectively across various units within the organization such as Operations, Technology, Compliance, Financial Advisors, as well as external vendors and custodians to achieve a positive experience for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting quarterly and monthly client fee billing processes for investment
- management, financial planning and consulting arrangements through the RIA platformand affiliated advisors.
- Processing billing terminations and calculating final fees and refunds.
- Processing billing service requests, such as setting up and updating fee schedules,
applying fee waiver exceptions and adjustments.improve and build efficiencies with current processes.solutions to assigned tasks and projects.billing inquiries in a timely manner.manner.*Please note the job responsibilities may vary, grow and change.Requirements:
- Collaborating with Operations, Technology and Compliance to look for opportunities to
- Interacting with custodians and technology partners to resolve billing exceptions and find
- Monitoring exceptions to find and resolve billing anomalies. Reconciliation of billing data to ensure fee accuracy and completeness.
- Interacting with Client Service Managers and Advisors to address and troubleshoot
- Participate in updating and improving existing billing methods and procedures.
- Participate in creating and updating billing training materials and user guides.
- Assist with department tasks and projects, as assigned.
- Participate in reporting and auditing of all billing processes, escalating issues in a timely
- Liaise with the Investments team on client operational matters.
- Liaise with Compliance team for any auditing and reporting needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance.
- Minimum 1-3 years of billing experience (experience at a financial firm, preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, including data
- analysis features such as pivot tables, vlookups, etc..
- Ability to manipulate and analyze complex Excel spreadsheets with little supervision to
generate meaningful reports.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, capable of working independently with limited
