Job Summary:
The ARC the Hotel DC is seeking a Front Office Manager. The Front Office Manager is responsible for the success of the front desk, for ensuring guest satisfaction and for managing all areas of the hotel according to brand standards to achieve a friendly atmosphere of superior guest service and product quality.
Job Responsibilities:
- Respond and follow up to all guests' requests, problems and complaints in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner.
- Monitor all V.I.P.'s and special guest requests.
- Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily.
- Analyze rate variance, monitor credit report and maintain close observation of daily house count.
- Monitor selling status of house daily, i.e. flash report, allowances, close the house as needed, etc.
- Review front office staff's worked hours for payroll compilation and submit to accounting on a timely basis.
- Prepare employee schedule according to business forecast, payroll budget guidelines and productivity requirements.
- Ensure that no-show revenues are maximized through consistent and accurate billing.
- Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication with managers, employees and other departments.
- Work closely with accounting on follow-up items, i.e., rejected credit cards, employee-cashiering discrepancies, etc.
- Create S.O.P.'s and revise existing ones as needed.
- Review daily Front Office work and activity reports generated by Night Audit.
- Motivate, coach, counsel, develop and discipline all front office personnel.
- Ensure that employees are, at all times, attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and other employees.
- Focus the Front Office Department on their role in contributing to the guest satisfaction and audit scores.
- Attend all required hotel meetings and training.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 year’s experience as Front Office Manager required.
- Must work weekends, holidays, and be flexible to work AM/PM/Night Audit shifts according to business demands
- The position requires effective time management and strong leadership communication skills.
