About the Team
The Metal Fabrication team is currently seeking an experience Welder/Fitter for our Port Orchard, WA manufacturing facility. The Metal Fabrication team consists of Welders and Metalworkers working together and with other departments to create products for the commercial construction industry.
About the Role
As a Welder/Fitter, you’ll work under the direction of the Welder Lead and directly with the Metal Fabrication Team to build product that will be used to create standard items such as site furnishings, pots and planters or custom products from drawings/blueprints. You’ll be based in our Port Orchard, WA manufacturing facility. You’ll have a direct hand in accomplishing our #1 goal – a successful project in every way.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Read and interpret project plans, blueprints or other written instructions to perform assigned duties

Lay out, fit and fabricate metal components to assemble products according to the production schedule

Ability to weld in both MIG and TIG

Inspect the quality of the material during and after the various processes to insure quality standards are met

Complete required paperwork for inventory purposes

Report defective material and faulty equipment to Production Manager immediately

Maintain a clean work environment and abide by all plant safety regulations and work rules
Necessary Skills

Proven experience as a welder, including safe use practices of welding equipment

Ability to lift more than 50lbs, jib cranes are available in all work stations

Ability to read CAD drawings

You should have strong attention to detail, and a broad knowledge of a manufacturing environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00 per hour. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on tenure, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
