This job description outlines the key responsibilities and qualifications for a Project Engineer position in an Oil & Gas and Engineering context, particularly focused on supporting the selection of Bray products for specific applications in Houston, Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Project Tracking and Support: Actively identifying and tracking projects from the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) stage through to order execution, ensuring Bray's success with internal and external stakeholders.
- Technical and Commercial Support: Providing technical and commercial support on valves, automation, and controls during various stages of a project's engineering and design process, collaborating closely with customer engineering and procurement teams.
- Influence and Positioning: Positioning Bray for success by influencing specification decisions and providing technical and commercial input related to Bray's product portfolio, especially targeting Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firms and major Oil & Gas companies.
- Customer Engagement: Working directly with large Oil & Gas companies, including notable entities such as Oxy, BP, Exxon/XTO, Saudi Aramco, Motiva, Phillips66, LNG companies, and ConocoPhillips, to understand their capital spending and increase Bray's Approved Manufacturer List (AML) presence.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline or similar technical training is required for this position.
- Experience: Ideally, 2-4 years of experience working with valve, automation, and controls, or industrial/technological products. Equivalent experience working with Engineering firms in areas such as piping, instrumentation and controls, and rotating equipment will also be considered.
- Computer Literacy: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) is necessary, along with knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to effectively manage and track projects.
Overall, the Project Engineer in this role plays a crucial part in supporting Bray's success in the Oil & Gas and Engineering sectors by actively engaging with key stakeholders, providing technical expertise, and ensuring alignment between customer needs and Bray's product offerings.
