We are currently seeking an experienced Social Security Manager to join our highly productive Workers Compensation practice. This position involves daily and constant work helping attorneys keep their cases well-organized and moving. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, have a high standard of ethics and strong communication skills.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Mentoring, training, and coaching social security disability department staff and delegating assignments to ensure maximum productivity
· Participate in strategic planning process with management to identify and accomplish short and long-term goals
· Resolve claimant concerns effectively and escalate issues when necessary
· Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
· Assist in recruitment of social security disability department staff
· Manage day-to-day operations of social security disability department
· Liaise with other departments on administrative matters
· Perform case-related Paralegal tasks as needed
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Bachelor’s degree required
· 3-5 years of management experience in a legal practice
· 3 years of experience with legal practice software
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effectively shows empathy to claimants who are dealing with difficult circumstances
· Upbeat with a can-do attitude; must be able to work independently and have a desire to assume significant responsibility
· Advanced understanding of legal language and principles, and other related matters.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
· Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel and Word
