Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and weld metal components according to specifications and codes standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including FCAW and soldering tools
- Perform quality inspections to ensure welded components meet required specifications
- Use measuring tools such as calipers to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Work with sheet metal and ductwork to fabricate various structures
- Safely operate overhead cranes and other lifting equipment
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
- Proficient in various welding techniques, including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
- Experience with soldering and working with sheet metal
- Knowledge of basic math for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with using calipers for precise measurements
- Strong understanding of welding processes and techniques
- Ability to work with different types of metals, including steel and aluminum
- Experience in fabricating ductwork is a plus
