Our therapists conduct standardized assessments for each client they serve, attend interdisciplinary team meetings, develop treatment goals and interventions, facilitate individual or group sessions based on assessed need, document measurable client progress on a quarterly basis, and maintain daily service records. Client services are typically delivered in the client's home or in a community location.
Therapists have autonomy and flexibility in managing their workloads and schedules, while also having a great deal of support from within the department and organization. They have the opportunity to connect with other therapists through monthly department meetings, trainings, committees, and have regular opportunities to collaborate with other therapists in the department to plan and implement group sessions or special events.

Requirements:
- Hold a minimum bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. The degree must be in therapeutic recreation or recreational therapy, or related field.
- Experience or training in the field of developmental disabilities.
- Apply the APIE process and work as a team member within a residential, clinical or community setting.
- Hold a valid driver's license and insurance with $50,000/$100,000 minimum coverage.
- Work with assigned clients as well as the ability to train and mentor others.
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
