Ricoh Electronics, Inc. (REI) is actively seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Molding Tech 2 for the 3rd Shift (11:00 pm - 7:30 am) to support our fast-paced environment Toner manufacturing Molding operations in Lawrenceville, GA. The Maintenance Molding Tech 2 will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and adjust equipment for Injection, Blow, and Injection/Stretch/Blow Molding lines. This includes molds, molded parts assembly lines, and dry toner filling equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Model the "safety first" behaviors we expect of all associates by ensuring that operational procedures, equipment, and processes are designed to provide a safe work environment.
- Performed electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment used in the molding and assembly processes.
- Perform operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
- Perform product (tooling) changeovers.
- Dismantle, adjust, repair, assemble, and rebuild equipment, electronic systems, circuitry, and computerized systems.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance of all molding equipment and parts assembly lines, including molds, robots, conveyors, dry toner fillers, and auxiliary and support equipment.
- Maintain logs and records used in recording, tracking, and improving equipment's overall operation, as well as maintaining Standards of Operation and Procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation of work (Work orders, PM check sheets, part usage, etc.)
Requirements:
- You must have proven knowledge in troubleshooting and maintaining plastic injection molding machines to ensure operational efficiency.
- You should be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics related to molding equipment.
- We expect you to have hands-on experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, which will enable you to perform repairs and maintenance effectively.
- You must demonstrate proficiency in using tools and diagnostic equipment to repair and maintain molding machinery.
- We require you to be adept at conducting regular preventive maintenance on mold machines and associated equipment to minimize downtime.
- You should have a strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing environment, ensuring a safe working condition for all.
- We look for individuals who can collaborate with production teams to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement solutions that improve molding operations.
- You are expected to be capable of managing the inventory of spare parts and supplies needed for maintenance tasks, ensuring availability when required.
Qualifications:
- 3 year(s): Experience in one or more of the above molding fields.
- Minimum of 2 yrs electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience, including A/C inverters and frequency drives, hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge and troubleshooting experience.
- Must have ability to read and interpret blueprints, maintenance manuals, and engineering sketches.
- Must have own basic hand tools.
- Must be able to work 3rd shift, 11:00 pm - 7:30 am, available to work overtime, including some weekends.
- Must be able to train on 1st shift (7 am – 3:30 pm) for several months until the you have mastered the responsibilities to transition to the 3rd shift.
Preferred:
- Technical school/other training in manufacturing equipment
- Injection mold maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair experience
- 3 year(s): Experience with PLC, welding, and machining.
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9000 and ISO 14000.
