Duties:
- Case in Gwyn Oak, MD is Monday-Friday 12pm-6pm
Must be able to work all 5 days
- Assist nurses and other healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care in clients home.
- Perform basic nursing procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse
- Help patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with medication administration and ensure proper documentation
- Collect specimens for laboratory testing, including venipuncture if trained
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment
Experience:
- Previous experience as a nursing assistant or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic medical office procedures is a plus
- Experience working in a nursing home, assisted living facility, or hospital setting is beneficial
Skills:
- Ability to lift and move patients safely and with proper body mechanics
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation and observation of patient conditions
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team environment
- Compassion and empathy for patients in various stages of health
