We are looking for someone who is PASSIONATE about pet care, enjoys working in a fast-paced and creative environment, is organized, a problem solver, and not afraid to get their hands dirty! *Please note, while this is primarily an administrative management position, you will also spend quite a bit of time with the pets, as you will be expected to cover walks as needed, perform meet and greets with new clients, and assist in training new walkers.
NASHVILLE DOG WALKERS is the top pet care business for pet sitting and dog walking services in the area. At NDW, our team members have a passion for animals.
The Manager position is responsible for supervising and managing a staff of 12-15 walkers as well as overseeing the operations, administration and growth of our NDW branch. This is a full-time position. Administrative work can be done from home, and meet and greets with new clients, employee interviews, walks, and training will be in-person. Depending on coverage and need, weekends and holidays may be required.

Job Requirements
- Manage pet sitter schedules ensuring the most efficient walker routes, covering walks as necessary.
- Closely monitor company growth, hiring (interviews) staff as needed.
- Daily operational tasks including responding to customer reviews, schedule changes and requests, calls and emails.
- Convert prospective customers into long-term clients, conveying the benefits of our service and bring them into our family.
- Work closely with existing clients to grow and maintain service relationships.
- Continuous focus on company development, identifying opportunities to grow the business through local channels.
- Grow our online review efforts.
- Inventory management (walker supplies and marketing supplies).
- Customer satisfaction in the areas of client retention and measuring sales growth with existing customer base.
- Staff development and training in the areas of animal behavior, customer service, safety training.
- A strong knowledge of our pet services, pricing, and policies.
- Ability to walk 5+ miles per day and handle large dogs when needing to cover walks.

- Candidates for the position should have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in management or in a leadership position.
- Experience in the pet industry (e.g., dog walking, boarding or daycare facility, veterinary clinic, animal shelter, etc.) is preferred.
- Candidates should be physically able to secure and handle large dogs and comfortable around most animals.
- Excellent customer service experience.
- Should possess a positive, creative and outgoing personality.
- Self starter and team player.
- Reliable transportation essential for covering walks on an as needed basis.
- Smart phone with internet and email capabilities is a must.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive
- Keep organized business and employee records.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate others.
