Duval Vascular Center is seeking a vascular ultrasound tech with experience performing non-invasive procedures including peripheral arterial , venous reflux imaging, DVT studies, and assist with venous ablation procedures. This position is for Full Time position, with travel to Fernandina Beach office 2-4 times monthly. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:30-4pm.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing patient services using medical ultrasound under the supervision of a physician responsible for the use and interpretation of ultrasound procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to perform non-invasive diagnostic procedures in our vascular center to detect, localize and quantify atherosclerosis, vasospasm, venous obstruction, venous reflux and other peripheral vascular diseases in the lower extremities.
- Set up and maintain sterile environment while assisting physician with superficial vein ablation procedure.
- Obtains, reviews, and integrates pertinent patient medical history and supporting clinical data to facilitate optimum diagnostic results
- Tech must be able to analyze test data and prepare a typed preliminary interpretation report .
- Tech must be able to discuss interpretation with physician as well as recommended treatment plan.
- Provides patient education related to medical ultrasound.
- Provides patient services in a variety of medical settings.
- Performs quality assurance checks on equipment, ensuring proper safety standards are met.
- Performs appropriate ultrasound and plethysmography procedures and records anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician.
- Assists the physician in gathering sonographic data necessary to diagnose arterial and venous conditions and diseases and identify normal and abnormal flow dynamics.
- MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Education: Graduate of an Allied Health program with an Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree required.
- ARDMS Registered Peripheral Vascular Technologist (RVT or RVS) At least 1 years of experience in Vascular studies.

- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required
- Proficient in performing superficial venous and deep venous studies.
- Proficient in performing superficial venous ablations.
