Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children of all ages and abilities, including those with developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, and physical disabilities. As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will assess each child's needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to help them achieve their goals. You will collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for each child.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess each child's strengths and areas for growth.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and family priorities.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to children in a variety of settings, including clinics, schools, and homes.
- Implement evidence-based interventions to improve children's motor skills, sensory processing, self-care abilities, and overall independence.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to support carryover of therapeutic strategies across settings.
- Monitor and document children's progress towards established goals, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas (or eligible for licensure).
- Certification or experience in Pediatric Occupational Therapy preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric development and disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
