ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER
The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is responsible for supporting the daily operation of the housekeeping team in providing quality service, guest satisfaction and safety. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper ensures proper cleaning of the hotel facility including guest rooms and public spaces and assists with related administrative duties.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Full-time management position requiring schedule flexibility, ability to work weekends and holidays, and a varied mix of day and evening shifts.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a housekeeping supervisor role. Hotel experience preferred.
- A true desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in general computer knowledge.
- Detail oriented and organized with proven leadership skills and ability to deliver results.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Support and manage the housekeeping department while working in collaboration with other hotel departments.
- Ensure new associates are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve job expectations. Evaluate staff performance and coach as needed to achieve optimal performance.
- Maintain cleanliness of guest rooms, public areas and other hotel areas. Ensure compliance with proper cleaning techniques, procedures and brand standards. Ensure proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ensure staffing levels for all outlets are sufficient for business needs.
- Issue daily assignments to include special requests, areas of concentration and deep cleaning.
- Ensure all checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing duties are completed for each shift.
- Ensure maintenance problems are promptly reported and resolved.
- Order supplies and maintain accurate inventory.
- Ensure a timely response to guest requests and address concerns beyond satisfaction. Manage lost and found inventory and assist guests with inquiries.
- Perform any and all housekeeping duties as needed.
- Regularly review service scores to identify areas needing improvement and implement appropriate changes.
- Perform various administrative tasks including payroll, shift reports, inventory, and scheduling.
- Demonstrate a consistent professional, positive and service-oriented attitude in communicating with guests, vendors and associates.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, security and emergency procedures.
- Any other duties / tasks as requested by management.
