Front Desk Associate Dog Wellness Spa
DEN Urban Dog Retreat is a full-scale dog care company that provides daycare, boarding, pack hikes, training, grooming and wellness care.
We are on the lookout for a dynamic individual to join our small, dedicated team as our Front Desk Associate. The position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in veterinary technology and a background as an office administrator/receptionist in the dog service industry. The DEN Front Desk Associate is a very important member in our canine guest’s wellness team. DEN team members should know our clients by name and look forward to talking with them to learn more about the general health and care of their pets.
In general, all team members at DEN will strive to create an environment where our clients are not only safe and healthy, but emotionally happy and fulfilled.
All DEN employees must enjoy working with animals in addition to interacting with clients and have a general understanding of holistic services and lifestyle.
Position: Front Desk Associate - Fulltime
Qualifications:
· 3 YEARS IN THE VET or DOG SERVICE INDUSTRY
· 3 Professional References
· Computer & Phone Skills
· Organized and Punctual
Schedule: Weekdays, and weekends as needed
Job Type: full time
Salary: Starting $18.00 per hour depending on experience.
Reports to: Den Manager
Core Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
· Ensure the health, safety, and happiness of dogs under our care at all times.
· Staff the front desk and maintain our curated dog wellness store with professionalism.
· Handle all client and Den Team interactions (in-person, calls, emails) professionally and accurately.
· Efficiently schedule daily services, including daycare, boarding, dog walking, transport, grooming, and training.
· Provide exceptional customer service and establish positive relationships with clients, understanding and addressing their unique requirements, concerns or issues.
· Handle the physical demands of bringing dogs to and from the lobby to the grooming and play areas throughout the shift.
· Stay well-informed about our holistic retail products, ensuring displays are clean and stocked with approved items.
· Skillfully cross-sell and up-sell services based on client needs.
· Conduct facility open/close tasks and cleaning; greeting pet parents/dogs; check dogs in/out of the facility; answer pet parent questions.
· Support weekend workshops as needed with store sales and providing information for instructors and participants.
· Provide updates and information to fellow DEN team members and in support of our social media.
Additional Requirements
- Able to stand for 8+ hours per day
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Be comfortable with the related cleaning and maintenance duties of a dog care facility
