Hope Community Resources is a non-profit organization providing community supports to hundreds of individuals and families who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury and mental health challenges. The people who choose our supports range in age from infancy to the elderly, are of diverse ethnic background, and experience a range of disabilities. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides services to Hope support recipients by providing direct care and services under the direct supervision of a Lead or Resident Manager and the oversight of a Registered Nurse. The CNA uses their training to perform health related tasks and to observe the health status of support recipients and assist them in following health care directives received from medical providers.
Key Responsibilities

The CNA teaches activities of daily living, as well as social and communication skills to foster social independence.

This position provides opportunities for the support recipient to work on goals and objectives as outlined in the Plan of Care and/or support plan.
- Obtains and records vital signs such as pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and temperature, record fluid intake and outputs, weights, and other observations.

High school diploma or GED required.

One year of Certified Nursing Assistant or related experience required. Experience may include non-paid experience in a health related capacity.

Current unencumbered state or nationally recognized certification to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
