Director of Sales
Purpose of the role:
The Director of Sales should have a proven track record of establishing and implementing successful sales strategies across an organization. Looking at your work history you can point to specific initiatives that involved channel development, go to market strategies, CRM adoption and forecast and pipeline management.
This position will be hands-on and leading the team in working with new/existing clients and business stakeholders to define and execute sales programs for our clients. This person needs to be able to close the deals and win over clients with suitable programs. This individual will be responsible for and expected to drive sales and revenue growth that includes prospecting, pipeline planning, forecasting and sales cycle management.
You will also possess a clear understanding of P & L as well as a passion for selling value AND experience. You have successfully instilled this belief in the quality and the value of your offering at other companies and have developed sales teams that are focused, driven and motivated. We require a person with true leadership skills, someone that is comfortable bringing new ideas and a fresh approach to our business while at the same time can be very hands on and willing to service both large and small accounts.
You have previously led teams and are both comfortable and accomplished at mentoring and helping them drive new business, manage existing accounts, maximize the effectiveness, deliver accurate forecasts and ensure the proper adoption of CRM tools.
Ideally, we are searching for someone that has helped with changes related to culture, outlook, attitude, motivationand compensation of a sales organization and has either helped build a company from the ground up or managed change and transition within an existing company to improved performance.
Responsibilities:
- Establishes a sales strategy and initiatives to maximize profit; plans, executes, and leads sales program policies, objectives, and best practices.
- Ensure the sales team is suitably skilled and appropriately trained to achieve optimal organizational performance.
- Ensure Direct Reports are provided with optimal training and support to lead their sales teams in driving daily, monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Ensure monthly reporting is provided on KPI’s.
- Ensure all Direct Reports provide a positive working environment and deliver high quality training to their sales team members.
- Takes initiative for grass roots approach to initiating and closing deals.
- Has the ability to spot issues and proactively address them to ensure a successful sale with optimal terms.
- Builds and maintains knowledge of clients’ business, competition, and industry trends; aids in developing strategic approaches for the development of solutions for clients.
- Identifies and develops appropriate individual sales plans to meet revenue goals with direct reports; responsible for ensuring maximum sales volume of services and programs offered.
- Establishes own targets and sales goals with input from company leadership. Must be KPI driven. Systematically tracks and report on the forecasts vs. actuals and budgets.
- Manages all aspects of the sales function (with the sales team), working with Executive, marketing and administration.
- Implements a sales culture that supports the core values of an organization.
- Works with the Executive to ensure sales programs are fully defined and assist in developing any supporting documentation needed.
- Manages different information and timelines for multiple clients through the use of organizational Sales software, Sales Force.
- Participates in marketing, trade-show and conferences and assists marketing with social media content.
- Manages trade-show/conference engagement.
- Participates in the Client’s customer service experience to ensure that their expectations are being met or exceeded.

- Strong analytical skills to identify and manage the sales organization by key metrics like win rates, sales cycle times, and gross margin.

Essential requirements:
- Bachelor/MBA in Sales Degree (Similar) in USA is required.
- Very proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sales Management Software, and others.
- 2-5 years business experience is required in Sales Management, Business Development, and Business Growth Strategy Execution.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve sales, product, or market expansion targets, and to adapt to new products, new assignments, and changing market conditions
- Cross-functional team leadership, influence, management, and alignment experience
- Comfort with, and ability to operate at an accelerated pace in a dynamic environment
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
