RF Products and Semiconductor Engineering Services for organizations that require unique solutions for high-reliability aerospace, oil and gas, commercial semiconductor, automotive and medical applications.
We have a direct hire opening for a RF Engineer.
The selected individual will be responsible for design and test of space flight RF components. You will be working in a team environment and will be expected to work on concept, schematic design, analysis, board layout, test, support production, anomaly resolution, post-delivery support.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or accredited foreign equivalent) in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a directly related field.
This position requires an individual with strong technical skills and must be able to collaborate heavily with customer engineers and internal engineering teams to help drive solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will be able to define and manage engineering projects, develop test circuits, create and debug test code and perform complete electrical device characterization of electronic components or assemblies, then setup device qualification processes.
Qualifications
- Four-year technical degree.
- Understanding of micro-electronics design, assembly and manufacturing through relevant study or work experience.
- 2+ years strong technical experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Successful track record of technical achievement.
- MUST be a US Citizen or Lawful permanent resident
- MUST pass a drug test and criminal background check
Preferred Experience Requirements
- Familiar with ADC, DAC’s, OP Amps, Low Power IC’s, DC-DC converters, motor control drive devices & SiC MOSFETs
- Design of circuits including filters, modulators, mixers, amplifiers, and samplers.
- Experience in the lab with test equipment such as Keysight PNA-X products up to 50GHz
- Write Labview software and design test circuits to characterize electronic circuits
- Use of analytical equipment including Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM), and Energy Dispersive X-rays (EDX).
- Failure Analysis Experience.
- Familiar with SMU test program design and measurement.
- Capable of designing both digital and analog circuits.
- Experience developing test vectors and debugging digital test programs.
- Understand PCB design for high frequency and low noise operation.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop semiconductor RF performance specifications; determine packaging requirements for HF and thermal performance.
- Create test plans, write test code, test boards and stress boards to test RF devices.
- Write engineering test reports.
- Setup and Test RF devices using Keysight PNA-X RF network analyzers.
- Research root causes in semiconductor product failures in relation to post wafer fabrication or package assembly, reliability stress test failures, customer returns, and new product and process introduction fails
- Interface regularly with customers with status updates.
- Maintain and stay on established schedules
- Create EMI simulation models to validate package and circuit performance.
