The Position:
The Aquatics Manager position with British Swim School is responsible for the day-to-day operations and marketing of the aquatics program. Priorities include ensuring the British Swim School program is delivered according to brand and safety standards, instructor team management, initial and ongoing training, customer conversations as well as teaching lessons when and if necessary. This position will also require due diligence with tracking required certifications for instructors as well as continuing the employee's development and competency and skills. Ability to go full time with 3-6 months.
Responsibilities:
- Follow British Swim Schools curriculum to ensure safe and competent lessons.
- Teach and lead swimming lessons as needed. Comfortable with being in the water in a moment's notice.
- Establish and maintain relationships with students’ parents and/or guardians.
- Creation of employee schedules, and pool lesson schedules.
- Interview, hire, onboard, train, and manage employees to maintain a smooth execution of daily aquatics and service operations.
- Attend community events: Represent British Swim School at community events, health fairs, and expos to promote programs and engage with potential customers.
- Connect with other local businesses to perform cross marketing and drop off flyers.
- Address and document employee, customer, and pool incidents that occur.
- Teach and train new instructors on the British Swim School aquatics program.
- Comfortable with going being in the water for 4-6 hours, as needed
- Maintain certifications throughout employment.

Experience:
- 1+ years of customer service and/or management experience.
- Experience in swimming and fitness teaching/management is preferred. A specialist aquatics qualification is desirable, but not required.
- Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid Certifications, may be obtained during training.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification
- Previous experience in a hospitality or aquatic management role is preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Familiarity with aquatic programming and swim lesson curriculum
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities

To be successful in this role, previous experience in a hospitality or aquatic management role is preferred. You should have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and knowledge of pool operations, safety protocols, and lifeguarding techniques. Additionally, familiarity with aquatic programming and swim lesson curriculum is beneficial.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
