Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer is the new take on the classic burger joint. Our location in Las Vegas (located inside the Venetian Resort), is looking for a HOST/HOSTESS SUPERVISOR who can take the role of a mentor, coach and is responsible for helping the General Manager ensure the proper development of the host/hostesses’ team by partnering with each team member to ensure proper greetings, introduction, and setting a positive example for all FOH to follow. This person will create an atmosphere that induces guests to make Black Tap their choice for casual dining, and always delivering superior guest service.

**This is a supervisor position, the individual will have supervisory job duties, Must have previous experience and will oversee all the host/hostess.**

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Included but not limited to):
- Trains, develops, and ensures the host/hostess team members are following guest seating according to standards, customer flow, number of servers and section rotation seating.
- Trains, establishes, develops, and ensures host/hostess team members greet guests with a positive attitude and welcoming demeanor.
- Trains, develops, and ensures host/hostess team are properly following communication etiquette protocols and standards of hospitality when interacting with guests and fellow team members.
- Takes initiative and encourages team members to work proactively, efficiently and as a team. Promotes teamwork and leads as an example.
- Ensures self and host/hostess team has full knowledge and understanding of the menu in order to make food and or beverage recommendations to our guests that generate excitement of the menu items.
- Ensures that guests are having an excellent experience by communicating with the guests during their visits, i.e., “Touch tables” to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Oversees and monitors FOH host/hostess staff.
- Provide hands on demonstration and training to FOH staff with respect to welcoming guests, menu explanation, upselling techniques and guest follow up.
- Ensures workstation is clean, neat and organized. May assist in cleaning restaurant workspaces as needed or directed by the General Manager
- Works well in a team environment with all levels of team members.
- Exhibits professional and effective communication with all FOH staff.
- Ability to interact with a variety of external guests as well as internal guests.
- Immediately reports concerns and possible policy violations to the General Manager.
- Follows and ensures host/hostess team is complying with all Company policies and procedures.
- Ensures the use of all personal protective equipment and abides by all safety rules and regulations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English required. Multi-lingual highly preferred.
- Excellent customer service and hospitality skills required.
- Positive, can-do attitude and demeanor.
- Availability to work 5 days out of the week including weekends and holidays.
- Prior restaurant experience highly preferred.
Education:
- BS in Business preferred or 4 years experience equivalent to degree.
