Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible to perform daily Urgent Care/ Primary Care Physician duties including but not limited to:
What You'll Typically Do in Urgent Care
- Provide exceptional treatment, collaborative care options (within the scope of urgent care), including physical examinations, assessments, diagnosis, and treatment
- Order and interpret x-rays, lab results and EKGs
- Triage and manage patients thoroughly and efficiently, maintaining a steady flow to avoid long wait times
- Perform digital blocks and regional anesthesia. Start IV fluids and perform minor surgical procedures, such as wound closure and management, foreign body removal, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, closed reductions of simple fractures or dislocations of fingers/toes.
- Apply and modify braces, splints, and other orthopedic appliances
- Review and manage daily tasks, patient callbacks, and lab results, while on shift
- Provide oversight and lead day to day operations, as sole provider and serve as expert by consulting, coaching, and training advanced practice clinicians
- Occupational Medicine / DOT Physicals
Position Details:
- Urgent Care Shift Information: 12-hour shifts, 8a-8p, average 3-4 patients per hour / Rotational with colleagues
- Primary Care Shift Information: 8-hour shifts, 8a-5p, average 3-4 patients per hour / Rotational with colleagues
- No call shifts required
- 12-hour shifts only - urgent care hours are 8am-8pm, 7 days per week, 365 days a year

What You'll Typically Do in Primary Care
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following Qualifications:
- Starting Shift Rate Commensurate with Experience and training Background
- Nurse Practitioner (FNP / DNP) starting $ 80, up to $ 100 / hour
- Medical Malpractice Coverage
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Practice / Medicine, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine (with urgent care), Emergency Medicine
- Successful completion of an approved residency training program.
- Active License
- Current Nevada Medical Practitioner License
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing.
- Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience
- Bilingual (Spanish / English) is a plus, but not a requirement
