Our new supervisor will lead a team of Intake Eligibility Specialists who are responsible for intake and checking eligibility for our patients.
DUTIES

SUPERVISOR DUTIES
- Supervise a team of up to 10 staff specialists to perform duties of eligibility and intake of our patients.
- Staff scheduling. Scheduling the staff for the most effective productivity according to business standards.
- Responsible for training of staff.
- Fostering a positive culture.
- Enforces goals, priorities, and expectations of the staff.
- Responsible for providing employees with timely, candid, and constructive feedback; developing employees to their full potential and providing challenging opportunities that enhance growth; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Screen patients for eligibility check
- Assist in Intake processes
- Follow up with provider offices for eligibility missing documents
- Follow up with patients about eligibility documents
- Work with processing teams on effective eligibility turnaround times
- Complete a comprehensive benefit and qualities heath insurance assessment for each patient
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS
- Must be reliable, team oriented, enjoy managing a team and not afraid to roll up your sleeves and jump in when needed
- Excellent time management, communication, interpersonal, and prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and to compute rate, ratio, and percent)
- Ability to type with minimal errors
- Ability to read, comprehend, analyze, and interpret data
- Ability to apply common sense understanding and principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems and to deal with abstract and concrete variables
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College degree preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a high school diploma
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with medical/pharmacy insurance eligibility
- Proficiency in a Windows computer software (MS Word/Excel) preferred
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and team player
- Ability to work independently and self-manage
- Ability to execute "outreach plans," collect data, and prepare reports
- Follow agency policies and maintain organizational standards with regards to client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
- Valid California Drivers License, proof of personal liability auto insurance as required by California State Law, and ability to travel/drive as required to perform essential duties.

- PC, Calculator, Office Copying, Fax and Scanning Machine
COMPUTER SKILLS AND APPLICATIONS
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) familiarity with PowerPoint, Outlook; ability to use the internet for research and information in support of job duties.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The majority of the duties of this position are performed in a typical office environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
