POSITION SUMMARY: The CNC Machinist/Toolmaker is directly responsible for MasterCam programming, setup, and operation associated with the CNC machining center as well as the operation of all other machinery typically associated with a machine shop.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS includes, but not limited to:
- Create MasterCam programs to support various tooling components to be machined in the CNC machines
- Maintain library and revision control of all MasterCam files created
- Work closely with the Bauer Designers to ensure manufacturing standards are met and make recommendations to improve DFM and reduce costs
- Manufacture and Assembly of Fixtures and Tooling
- Fabricate parts using both CNC and standard machinery
- Perform preventative maintenance of CNC machine as well as standard machinery
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- MasterCam programming certification with minimum of 3 years of experience
- Experience with Proto-Trak CNC Millers & Lathe
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment with machine setup
- Detail Oriented
- Ability to work independently in a diverse, fast paced team environment
- Proficient in blueprint reading including GD&T
- Knowledge of CNC cutting tools, machine feeds, and speeds for various materials
- Experience with inspection equipment including, Micrometers, Calipers and Bore, Height, Pin and Plug gauges
- Ability to do secondary operations on manual equipment
- Own tools a must
- Experience with SolidWorks a plus
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- MasterCam programming certification
- High School and/or Trade School Diploma
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing
