- Drives the direction of the staff in terms of tone, motivation, safety, organization, cleanliness.
- Ensures the safety of attractions and property condition.
- Possesses and actively communicates across the organization to drive progress and continuous improvement.
- Assists with scheduling and discipline of staff.
- General considered a person of action – sees a task and does rather than relaying it or walking by.
- Must be able to lead, train, motivate and provide correction to staff in a way that keeps people motivated.
- Assists with and takes responsibility for cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas.
- Determines what is needed for parts orders and makes recommendations on parts on hand to avoid any extended downtimes.
- Ability to act in maintenance on-duty.
Ride Maintenance Responsibilities
- Performs daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual inspections and preventive maintenance towards mechanical systems
- Diagnoses system failures and provide immediate and corrective action.
- Troubleshoots by referring to technical manuals and while utilizing a systematic approach.
- Responds to ride calls during operating hours and make repairs as required.
- Inspections include testing, verification and/or calibration of applicable mechanical systems.
- Researches defective mechanically-controlled items/parts and instructional information to complete the repair process when needed.
- Documents log books for completion of inspections, corrective action, and/or repairs made.
- Completes all job functions in a safe and timely manner.
- Works comfortably at heights up to 200+ feet.
