As an Instructor for the Medical Assistant Training Program, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of aspiring medical professionals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons on medical assisting techniques, procedures, and theory.
- Providing hands-on training in clinical skills, laboratory procedures, medical equipment operation, and patient care.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement, critical thinking, and professional growth.
- Assessing student performance through assignments, quizzes, exams, and practical demonstrations.
- Offering individualized support and guidance to students, addressing their questions and concerns.
- Collaborating with fellow instructors and program coordinators to enhance curriculum and instructional methods.
- Staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in medical assisting to ensure curriculum relevance.
- Participating in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and institutional initiatives.
Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a closely related field.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA), or certification/licensure at a higher level in the medical field is preferred, but not required.
- Strong passion for teaching, mentoring, and supporting students' academic and professional growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in utilizing instructional technology and learning management systems.
- Dedication to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Prior teaching or training experience is preferred, but not required.
