Miller Brother Staffing in Lancaster County has the immediate need of experienced Truck Installation Techs for 1st shift.
Shift: 1st Shift: 5am-1:30pm Monday – Friday
Pay Range: $20-$28/hour based on experience

Job Description:
Truck Installation Technician works under the direction of the Shop Supervisor to complete the installation of specialty truck equipment such as service utility bodies, stake bodies, dump bodies, hitches, and other commercial truck accessories.
The Nuts and Bolts
- Follow safety rules and comply with all PPE requirements.
- Install truck bodies, plows, commercial truck accessories
- Mount hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, mud flaps, etc.
- Basic weld experience (helpful)
- Train with other mechanics as needed
Requirements:
- Mechanical knowledge
- Basic welding skills, electrical wiring, hydraulics, etc.
- Ability to operate power hand tools (and have basic tools-see list)
Level 1: Pay Range - $20-$23/hour
Ability to read and apply work instruction
Ability to read and use tape measure
Ability to select and use proper tools for building standard units
Ability to use small hand tools
Able to build standard units in standard time
Basic electrical skill & knowledge
Capable to install most bolt on accessories (ie ladder rack, bumper vice, etc.)
General knowledge of basic installs
General Mechanical background
Knowledge of bumpers and mounting
Skilled with install of trailer plug wiring
Skilled with Latch-Matic system, install
Skilled/knowledged with gas fill, DEF fill.
Upfit standard core product knowledge
Level 2: Pay Range- $23-$25/hour
Ability to build dump truck units
Ability to build platform units
Ability to troubleshoot and install electric
Ability to wire greater than 1500w inverter
Ability to wire/install strobe lights
Aptitude and ability to learn any build
Aptitude and ability to train others
Basic knowledge and ability of light fabrication
Basic knowledge and ability of light welding
Intermediate ability to mount service bodies
Intermediate Knowledge of Installs
Intermediate knowledge of Reading products
Knowledge to install basic electric systems
Level 3 – Pay Range: $25-$28/hour
Build schematics
Electrical schematics
Hydaulic schematics
Upfit component schematics
Ability to back up Lead TM/Spvr as needed
Ability to operate Crane 10k Electric/Hydraulic
Ability to train others as needed
Above average welding knowledge/ability
Advanced electrical background
Advanced Hydraulic knowledge
Highly skilled in most every upfit needed
Independent ability to troubleshoot/solve
Skilled to lead and/or teach upfit builds
Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds, squat, bend, twist, kneel, and stand for duration of shift
