PROGRAM MANAGER, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PREVENTION SERVICES
The Program Manager works in the Behavioral Health Prevention Services department and plays an essential leading role in developing and implementing alcohol and substance misuse prevention programs and services. The Manager works closely with the Director of Behavioral Health Services and is involved in supervising staff and volunteers; data collection and evaluation activities; documenting services provided for billing purposes; completing program reports, and other administrative tasks required to meet prevention program goals and objectives. The manager is a self-starter, results oriented, and able to communicate effectively with with minimal supervision.
CORE JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ensure the compliance of program goals and objectives and other grant or contract requirements are met as required through monthly reports, weekly documentation of services and staff and volunteers supervision
- Provide direct prevention services
- Coordinate the completion, collection, review and approval of Prevention Activity Sheets on a weekly basis
- Complete weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required by ADMH
- Serve as primary liaison to develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders
- Conduct staff meetings and participate in agency meetings and events
- Report progress and activities to on a regular basis to supervisors
- Other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous alcohol and substance abuse prevention experience required.
- Must be certified as a Prevention Specialist Certification after one (1) year employment
- Supervision experience of at least (3) years
- Must have a minimum of a master’s degree in a human services field with a minimum year of (1) year of experience implementing alcohol and substance abuse prevention or treatment services, education services or human services. This experience may be cumulative.
- Superior organization skills, with ability to juggle multiple priorities under changing circumstances, prioritize work with supervisory input, meet deadlines, and balance the needs of numerous constituencies in a demanding, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to plan, organize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; excellent attention to detail and follow-through
- Experience in group facilitation and public speaking
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office, basic knowledge of other software applications
- Occasionally sits at a desk, drives a motor vehicle, and lifts or moves objects weighing up to 30 lbs
- Works for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail

- Availability to work occasionally outside the normal schedule including evenings and weekends
- Work requires traveling using agency and/or personal vehicle- Mileage compensation is provided
- Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance required

Pay: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
