Federal Affairs Manager (Remote: Maryland or Virginia)
The Federal Affairs Manager will lead engagement of Administrative Agencies and Congress on Federal issues impacting the interests of Niagara Bottling, including the bottled water industry. The job will include representing the company at trade associations and before the Federal government and Congress as well as developing and executing other activities and events that advance the company’s overall objectives. The Federal Affairs Manager will report to the VP of Legislative Affairs.
Essential Functions
-
Experience working on Capitol Hill or federal government
- Skilled at developing a strategy for Congressional members and Federal Agencies.

Experience with the legislative process, specifically Natural Resources, Appropriations and Ways and Means.
- Identify and elevate legislation, regulations and other policy issues for internal analysis, and manage communication on natural resources, appropriations, nutrition, supply chain, sustainability and more.
- Engage congressional and agency offices on issues impacting Niagara’s business units.
- Identify trends across policy issues at the federal level, educate colleagues; and build, manage and execute strategies to address and respond to those trends.

Represent Niagara before Congressional members and agency staff.
- Team and coalition builder to get the best results.
- Brings a fresh approach to the table on issues.
- Works closely with the rest of the Legislative Affairs team, VP of Legislative Affairs and experts to develop Niagara’s policy and communicate our position on a range of policy issues, including by drafting papers, writing collateral and other public-facing materials, and preparing memos and decks for senior leadership.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

3 + Years – working in Congress and/or at an Agency; preferably in the areas of Natural Resources, Ways and Means or Appropriations. Experience working with, or in, advocacy space for either a grassroots organizations, trade association or company.
