The position is assigned to the Staffing and Compensation division of the Human Resources department and may be classified as a Human Resource Business Partner I or Human Resource Business Partner II depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
- Human Resource Business Partner I - A.10, $55,063 - $85,348
- Human Resource Business Partner II- A12 $60,707 - $94,096
Duties:
- Research and respond to inquiries regarding policies and procedures and/or human resource actions.
- Interview and coach/counsel supervisors and employees regarding staffing and compensation policies and practices.
- Research relative market data to make recommendations in constructing applicable policies and practices.
- Review transactions and processes to ensure compliance with applicable policies and federal regulations.
- Partner with assigned departments on recruitment (including strategies for hard-to-fill positions), selection, and onboarding processes.
- Strategize with assigned departments when planning for future staffing needs.
- Assist in the research and preparation of compensation studies, presentations, and recommendations for leadership decision making purposes.
- Review and recommend appropriate classifications and reporting structures to assist departments in aligning their people resources with customer needs, and to create efficiencies.
- Review and recommend revisions to policies and processes and facilitate process implementation.
- Facilitate City-wide training as related to staffing and compensation topics.
