- Meet with and advise prospective and existing clients on tax related matters, to strategically expand our footprint.
- Create and track the progress of engagements within our project management system -KarbonHQ and helps to manage issues as assigned.
- Prepare & Review C Corp, S Corp, Individual Federal and State Returns
- Act as an advisor, mentor, and trainer to staff to provide the highest quality of Federal, State and Local tax returns for clients.
- Represent our clients by resolving federal, state and local tax audits and manage staff preparation of supporting documentation.
- Resolve tax issues for our clients through research, written correspondence, and private letter rulings for submission to the IRS or various state agencies.
- Strategic Planning for ongoing client engagements, while meeting production deadlines and budget goals.
- Manage the tax team
- Creating systems and processes to help achieve the company vision
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration
CPA or EA
PTIN or ability to qualify for a PTIN
Tax experience: 5 years (Required)
Excellent communication skills
Maintains strong knowledge of federal and multistate partnership tax compliance, tax reporting, tax research, and tax planning
Prior experience supervising tax professionals on a project or engagement basis
