The ideal candidate will be a self-driven, competitive and motivated recruiting professional tasked with sourcing, recruiting and managing light industrial candidates. This includes ensuring that all employees are compliant with state and local licensing guidelines as well as company policies and procedures. To be successful this individual must be able to multi-task, work well independently and as part of a team, have strong computer and mobile device competencies and most importantly have superb communication skills. You must be competitive and driven to succeed.
This position requires working in the West Seneca, NY office location Monday - Friday.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Source qualified light industrial workers including general labor, forklift, skilled industrial and technical.
- Conduct applicant screenings with a sense of urgency and, if appropriate, interviews with applicants ensuring minimum qualifications are met.
- Assists and guides applicants with the on-line application system.
- Provides new and returning orientation including safety polices, work rules and attendance policies.
- Maintain all pertinent applicant and employee data in established HR systems and files.
- Ensure adherence to all hiring policies and applicable employment laws.
- Participate in strategic recruiting projects to advance the function of the recruiting team.
- Attend job fairs, both virtual and in person, as needed.
- Interface with local schools, groups, and organizations to source candidates in your territories.
- Foster a team-focused attitude that seeks to build and retain high-quality employees verses simply filling assignments or positions.
- Address employee concerns including but not limited to payrates, assignments, expectations, policies, procedures, and disciplinary actions.
- Have meticulous attention to detail, and have excellent verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrates adaptability to change, and the willingness to take on additional responsibility as the needs of the office and the company changes and grows..
