Looking to fill the position of General Manager to oversee all employees and responsibilities for the operations at a new San Francisco sports bar and social concept, including personnel, inventory, systems, infrastructure, and vendors. The concept will open in Q1 2025, and the GM will be hired as soon as possible to help build and launch the concept. The Sports Bar is large in scale and expected to generate $10M+ in revenue.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Excellent knowledge of food, and commitment to ensuring high quality of food
- Very strong operational experience with demonstrated optimization experience:
- Experience managing large staff, headcount of ~100 people (hiring, training, retention)
- Adept at working with the staff, fostering a positive relationship between FOH and BOH
- Ability to identify staffing needs of organization, recruit, and fill those staffing needs
- Ability to manage P&L, including financial reporting and accounting (planning, budgeting, and bookkeeping)
- Ability to manage all aspects of restaurant operations:
- Inventory purchasing & management for alcohol and food
- POS management
- Reservation management, including familiarity with OpenTable and/or similar software
- Supplies ordering & management
- Facility maintenance
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple vendors
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong marketing experience
- Ability to implement and manage strategic marketing plan to increase brand awareness and strength and build customer loyalty
- Ability to develop incentive programs for staff to reinforce marketing goals
- Desire to participate in strategic discussions with founders:
o Business performance improvements
o New marketing initiatives
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES – PREFERRED
- 5+ years restaurant management experience, with at least 4 years as a General Manager of a full service high volume restaurant or sports related venue

Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
