We are seeking a Customer Order Specialist to join our growing Operations team to process new customer orders. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented and thinks quickly and independently to solve problems. The perfect candidate can multitask, prioritize, and communicate effectively in and out of their department.
Responsibilities:
· Enter and process orders received via email, web, EDI, or customer portal
· Same day processing of orders with a high degree of accuracy
· Maintain backorder files for orders, including updating the customer and/or sales team on the order status
· Handle communication with warehouse via phone, email or chat professionally and courteously.
· Allocate and transmit orders to the warehouse and follow up with execution
Skills & Qualifications:
· 1+ years of experience in EDI/Order Processing – receiving/transmitting and allocating orders
· Knowledge of ERP systems a plus (focus on AMT)
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills
· Exceptional attention to detail and great organizational skills
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Data processing speed and accuracy
· Working knowledge of MS Office with a focus on Excel
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Team player
