Main Purpose of the Role: The co-lead teacher is responsible for planning instructional lessons and curriculum, as well as teaching and assessing students in the core subject areas at the lower elementary level.
Key Responsibilities:

Overtly support and act in accordance with the school’s mission and values.

Work collaboratively with co-lead teacher to plan, teach, and assess.

Demonstrate appropriate planning and preparation for instruction.

Develop and maintain a classroom atmosphere centered on intellectual inquiry and student engagement.

Foster classroom community through inclusionary, compassionate, and supportive practices.

Uphold professional standards of personal presentation, punctuality, professional courtesy, and discretion.

Appropriately carry out specific responsibilities as designated by the division (e.g., duties).

Honor the confidentiality of school and student information.

Communicate effectively with co-lead, students, families, and colleagues.

Engage in self-reflection and professional development through goal setting, professional development opportunities, and ongoing dialog with division directors.

Attendance on field trips.

Support admissions’ work through tours and visitors.
